Three individually hand-cut layers of ostrich eggshell are carefully shaped and assembled to create the necklace’s distinctive dimensional form. The smooth inner surface of the shell is deliberately exposed, revealing a less familiar side of this remarkable natural material.
The pendant is suspended on a 4mm rubber cord, complementing its clean, contemporary design while keeping the necklace lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Is ostrich eggshell fragile? Not at all. Ostrich eggshell is one of nature’s strongest natural materials — far more durable than it appears. Each pendant is individually hand-cut and assembled with care, and with normal everyday wear it will last for many years.
Will my piece look exactly like the one in the photograph? Because each piece is individually handmade from natural ostrich eggshell, there will be gentle variations in colour, texture and pattern from piece to piece. These subtle differences are not imperfections — they are what make every piece truly one of a kind.
Can I wear it every day? Many Mambu pieces are lightweight and comfortable enough for everyday wear, while some are designed as more striking statement pieces. To help preserve the piece, we recommend removing it before swimming, bathing or exercising, and avoiding direct contact with perfume or hairspray.

Your ostrich eggshell jewellery is surprisingly durable and requires very little maintenance.
Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto the piece. Keep it dry and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture. Store in a dry place when not being worn. Wipe any suede cord gently with a soft, dry cloth if needed.
